Frequently asked
Before you reach out.
Our clients are rarely publicly listed. They are owner-led Danish groups in their second or third generation, family principals operating through private holding structures, and hospitality, retail and light-industry operators where a single family or small partnership still holds the deciding vote.
We also take mandates from foreign capital — primarily German, British and North American funds and family offices — entering the Nordic market and needing an owner-side counterpart that reads the local jurisdictions without translation and can sit across the table from Danish executive teams.
We do not pursue public tenders, we do not sell to retail clients, and we do not work with companies where ownership and day-to-day management are fully detached. Our work assumes there is a principal to report to.
By default, yes. No client names, transactions or mandates are published without prior written consent from the principal — and even then, only in a form both parties have reviewed sentence by sentence.
Every mandate is documented on paper per legal entity and per counterparty, stored physically at our Aalborg headquarters and archived digitally in line with GDPR and Danish bookkeeping law. Internal working documents are destroyed at the close of the mandate unless retention is contractually agreed.
The cases referenced on this site are either anonymised, released with consent, or already in the public record — never speculative branding.
We work to two fee models: a fixed monthly retainer for ongoing board and governance work, or a phase-based fee tied to specific deliverables on a time-bounded mandate (typically 8–16 weeks). Both are agreed in writing before kick-off and are not indexed to outcomes.
Under no circumstances do we accept commission, retrocession or success fees from vendors, banks, brokers or counterparties. The entire fee comes from the principal, and the principal is the only party we report to.
Estimates are delivered as a fixed range, not an open hourly rate. If a mandate expands mid-flight, the scope is renegotiated in writing — not the invoice.
Headquarters sit at Kornblomstvej 97, 9000 Aalborg, where all confidential documentation is stored and signed. The legal entity is Danish (CVR DK41789298) and all contracting is governed by Danish law, unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
Operationally, we cover the whole of the Nordics: Copenhagen, Aarhus and Sjælland within Denmark, plus Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo and Helsinki depending on the nature of the mandate. We mobilise on-site at the client for up to two weeks at a stretch when board work, due diligence or restructurings require it.
Internationally we hold standing mandates out of Hamburg, London and New York. Correspondence is conducted in Danish, English or German — at the client's preference.
